    Day-by-Day Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

    Arrive from overseas. An English-speaking guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel to rest. 


    • Meals: None 
    • Transport: Coach
    • Accommodation: 5-star hotel in Beijing. 

    Day 2: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City & Shichahai

    AM: Visit Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum (Forbidden City). Located at the center of Beijing's central axis, it is the essence of ancient Chinese court architecture and tops the list of the world's five great palaces (alongside Versailles, Buckingham Palace, the White House, and the Kremlin).  


    Lunch: Enjoy a special meal inside the Forbidden City at the Ice House Restaurant.  

    PM: Head to Shichahai to experience old Beijing hutong culture in the city's largest and best-preserved historical district. Visit Yinding Bridge (Beijing's oldest single-arch stone bridge, offering views of the Western Hills on clear days), walk through Yandai Byway, and reach the Drum Tower to feel the culture of Beijing's central axis.

    Day 3: Mutianyu Great Wall & Olympic Park

    AM: Head to Shichahai to experience old Beijing hutong culture in the city's largest and best-preserved historical district.     PM: Visit the Olympic Park for exterior views of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube, feeling the excitement of Olympic Beijing.

    Day 4: Old Summer Palace & Summer Palace

    AM: Visit the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan), once the world's largest museum, which blended Jiangnan garden landscapes with Western architectural elements.  

    PM: Drive to the Summer Palace, the famed "Royal Garden Museum." Based on Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, its design was inspired by Hangzhou's West Lake and Jiangnan gardens.

    Day 5: Temple of Heaven & TCM Cultural Experience

    AM: Explore the Temple of Heaven, the site where Ming and Qing emperors worshipped the heavens and prayed for good harvests. It features the Circular Mound and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, with walls designed to symbolize the ancient belief that "heaven is round and the earth is square".  

    PM:  Head to a famous Chinese medicine hospital for an immersive TCM experience. Learn the basics, receive a constitution consultation, enjoy seasonal health tea and snacks, and participate in a DIY workshop. Also, choose one therapy experience: A (Soothing Shoulder & Neck), B (Kidney & Waist Strengthening), C (Relaxing & Calming), or D (Energy Warming).

    Day 6: Beijing to Suzhou via High-Speed Rail

    AM:  Experience the thrill of Chinese speed on a high-speed train to Suzhou. (G693 09:49 - 15:22)

    PM - Evening: Arrive in Suzhou and explore the historic Seven-mile Shantang Street. At dusk, watch the red lanterns reflect in the river before heading to your hotel.

    Day 7: Humble Administrator's Garden & Suzhou Museum

    AM: Tour the Humble Administrator's Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a masterclass in Jiangnan garden design, beautiful in every season.  

    PM: Visit the Suzhou Museum, designed by I.M. Pei to perfectly blend modern geometry with traditional Jiangnan aesthetics. Later, walk through the Pingjiang Road Historic Block, a quintessential snapshot of old Suzhou characterized by parallel streets and canals.  


    • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Day 8: Suzhou to Hangzhou & West Lake

    AM:  Drive to Hangzhou. 


    Lunch: Specialty meal by West Lake. 

    PM:  Explore West Lake's southern route. Visit the Leifeng Pagoda (China's first colored copper pagoda) to enjoy panoramic views of the lake. Stroll along the Su Causeway ("Dawn on the Su Causeway in Spring") and visit "Viewing Fish at Flower Harbor" before taking a boat cruise on the lake.

    Day 9: Xixi Wetland & Hangzhou Heritage

    AM:  Discover Xixi Wetland, an urban paradise that feels like stepping into nature's embrace.  

    PM: After lunch, walk down Hefang Street near "Orioles Singing in the Willows," packed with bustling historical shops. Visit the Hu Qingyutang Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum and Pharmacy.

    Day 10: Hangzhou to Shanghai

    AM: Drive (approx. 3 hours) to Shanghai, China's economic hub.

    Lunch: Taste authentic Shanghai cuisine.

    PM: Visit the City God Temple and Yu Garden, the "heartbeat of Jiangnan" in Shanghai. Stroll down Nanjing Road, and after dinner, take a Huangpu River Cruise to experience the modern, romantic magic of the Bund at night.

    Day 11: Lujiazui Modern Marvels

    AM: Head to Lujiazui and look down upon the city from the heights of either the Oriental Pearl Tower or the Shanghai Tower Observation Deck.  

    PM: Take a relaxing walk along Binjiang Avenue to admire the modern skyline. (Optional: Visit the Pudong Art Museum) .

    Day 12: Departure from Shanghai
