Emergency calls

If you find yourself in an emergency and in need of assistance, these are the numbers to call. 


Police 110

Fire Alarm 119

Medical Emergency 120

Traffic Accident 122

Maritime Search & Rescue Centre 12395

Telephone Inquiry 114


Notice:

  • 110, 119 and 120 are the most used emergency numbers. These are all free to use. 110 will bring you the police, 119 when a fire brigade, and 120 an ambulance.
  • 12395 is the national SOS call for maritime emergencies. On the sea, if a boat encounter collision, stranding, fire, man overboard, sudden disease outbreaks or other accidents which need assistance, you can reach the Maritime Search & Rescue Centre on this number.
  • 114 is a very important number - if you can’t remember any other numbers, you can dial 114 to look up the numbers you need. It provides telephone number enquiry  services. Users can also look up the timetables for trains and coaches, information on the weather forecast, lunar calendar, special restaurant, etc.

Information Card

It can be helpful to carry an information card with you, detailing your hotel address and emergency contact written in Chinese, along with texts asking for help. SpotChina will help you produce your information card.
