Itinerary

Day 1-4 Beijing

 Arrive in Beijing by plane and check into your accommodation. On Day 2, explore the iconic Temple of Heaven, a significant site of imperial worship, and visit the Summer Palace, renowned for its grand gardens and serene lake. In the evening, wander through Shichahai, a picturesque area with traditional hutong lanes, and experience the bustling atmosphere of Wangfujing Street. On Day 3, delve into Beijing’s imperial past with a visit to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Spend the evening exploring Qianmen Street, a vibrant pedestrian area with diverse dining and shopping options. On Day 4, hike along the Beijing Section of the Great Wall, taking in breathtaking mountain views before taking a high-speed train to Pingyao. 

Day 5 Pingyao

 On Day 5, immerse yourself in its well-preserved historical architecture. Explore Pingyao Ancient City, a remarkable example of traditional Han Chinese urban planning and architecture, and discover its rich history as a major banking centre. 

Day 6-10 Xi'an

 On Day 6, travel to Xi’an by high-speed train and spend the evening at Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City, where you can enjoy traditional architecture and cultural performances. On Day 7, visit the awe-inspiring Terracotta Army, an archaeological marvel with thousands of life-sized clay soldiers. Later, explore the Muslim Quarter to sample local cuisine and experience its vibrant atmosphere. On Day 8, walk along the Xi’an City Wall, one of the best-preserved ancient defensive structures in China, and then visit Yongxingfang Food Street for a taste of local Han Chinese dishes. On Day 9, discover the Shaanxi History Museum, featuring a rich collection of historical relics, and visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda for panoramic city views. Depart from Xi'an on Day 10.
